Me. Love the stuff, though I haven't had a real shandy in decades. By that I mean the version that we were given at the end of a hard day's haymaking, back in early 1970s Cheshire, when collecting, loading, unloading and stacking bales wasn't done by machines, but manually. The shandy had to be made from high quality 'best bitter' and homemade lemonade, with only about 25% lemonade max - if the farmer's wife liked you.
Those shandies were made for us young fellas (I was 12-15 at the time) while the adults had beer. Add freshly-baked bread spread with butter churned by the farmer's wife, crumbly farmhouse Cheshire cheese and various, mysterious sweet and sharp pickles.
Now I'm hungry. And I want a shandy.
