As someone who followed a lot of the car magazines back then I remember seeing photos of it & of the Cougar concept car which I suspect would have been a very popular car had they built a production car styled exactly like it. I'm sure I would have bought 1.

A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.

Enjoying the car while enjoying the season!!

I have a photographic memory, just wish I'd remember to take the lens cap off more often!

Of course, this is a classic:

1952 Oscar Mayer Weinermobile :-P

I actually witnessed one of these in traffic once, roughly the same vintage.
It rolled through an intersection while I was waiting at a red light.

The 1952 Oscar Mayer Weinermobile is an amazing creation.
A real crowd stirrer.
Brilliant

Love all the others above. Interesting collection.

I'll see your classic Batmobile, and raise you a more modern one:

Yes, isn't it?

Now imagine one of these lumbering through a busy intersection while you're front-and-center
at a traffic signal. It's quite a surprising sight.

Sure would be a car stopper.
I wondered about clearance.
Here, in Melbourne, there's tragic repetitious collusions with some of their low clearance bridges.
That was foremost in my mind.
Busus had tops cut off! Ouch.

Some of the same here in the US, what with regular news with videos
showing trucks getting skinned or stuck under some bridges.

I'd expect the Weinermobiles don't get caught in such situations. ;-)a
