I think I've mentioned this before. The 200600 and 100400 are just super. But times
when I don't want to bear the weight, and when working in the backyard rarely do I need
the reach.
So this morning worked a couple with the E70-350G+Riv

Also mentioned prior, the E is no GM but is nice for walkaround.

Canon sets a new bar. In war, they said you must know your enemy. Well I guess Sony has to delay the A7SIII again.

This New Hybrid 1DXIII can record 12-bit internal 4K.

1DXiii has much bigger body to dissipate heat...might be problematic for the
small A7xxx series, possible?

It's an interesting camera for sure but I've shot Canon 1 series cameras enough to know I will never be going back there again, the form factor is just not in the cards for me any longer.

I'd say that's likely , isn't the S1H quite big with heat vents?

As a result of the terrible bush fires in Australia happening at the moment, over here in New Zealand, we had a really weird light on Sunday. The whole day was like a yellow cast to it. It was the smoke coming all the way over here.

This shot is on the west coast of Auckland of a gannet flying at Muriwai Beach. The colour is from the smoke.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the craziness of the D780. Here the price will be $3899 yet the Z6 is only $2199 and A73 is around $2300. I'd be surprised to see someone go for it over the Z6..

the a7r4 ..

has me thinking a bit.

i enjoy using it much more than the a73.. first because it has a better AF , and 2nd it just feels better in the hand.. a lot better.

in my opinion sony ergos are still not that great , but the a7r4 is definetly a step in the right direction.

but damn the file sizes.

i haven't had it that long and haven't even shot that much , but i already see it.
I've never been one to delete photos , unless they are really nothing , or test shots .

but the a7r4 has me re thinking that... i'm also taking less photos because of file size.

its definitely not the tool for every outing , no matter how much i want the improved AF and ergos.

i think i will soon order one of those bottom grips for my a73 , and start using that again for the casual stuff.

Jose I just watched Professor Northrump's video on the 1DXiii. Seems like a winner as long as you can hold the camera at arms length ;)

I agree. It is not a casual beat around walkabout camera. For me I use the Z50 for that. Like today's 3 mile walk over kinda rough terrain. If I go
down let it be the baby nikon and not the precious.
There are times though when I miss the A7Riii...except for AF. AF is pretty awesome on the Riv and as you mentioned the buttons/dials really make
a difference for comfort/likability. I don't have a problem with file size though, just got lucky on that one.
