I took the GA last time and found it to be a tad limiting, though I do have a better understanding of how it works now. I think 35mm will do the job this time around.
I'd love to take my 6D and 300v, along with a 35mm f2 IS and 135L. I just don't have the space, however. I don't check any bags when I travel, just a backpack (Osprey Farpoint 40) and a camera bag (Domke F-5xc).

Fuji Velvia 100.
I shot 35mm in Tijuana and I wish I'd shot more!
Minolta XG-1 / 50mm f2 / Fuji C200.
I plan on shooting in some of the markets and crowded areas. The GA is great, but the f4 lens is a tad limiting. I remember constantly battling with slow shutter speeds, though supposedly January is the clearest month in CDMX.
