Gorgeous Wren. Really nice to see and beautiful photos.
Interesting bodily habits similar to the Superb. Last two with extended body peering around them
Not sure how they named such. I'd have named yours Superb and ours Splendid :-)
Any little offspring?

The names always get me confused as to which was which, sometimes I have to google to remind me :lol::lol:
The family consists of Dad mum and junior
I posted a few of the family a few posts back

Thanks Rick
I'd seen that but wasn't sure if one of those was junior or if you had a photo.
Wasn't sure if one of those 2 females was a junior?
Ours are so cute with little stubby tails and just miniatures of their parents.

The Native Hens (Tribonyx mortierii) are getting very game and come right up to the house.
But they flee at the sniff of a human.
Today they had a right old corroboree and the noise was as you'd expect. That ever increasing cacaphony of see-saw see-saw
We have fly screens and this was taken through such but it gives an idea of their antics. They are so comical to watch
There were 8 all up acting out their ritual

Pheasant coucal, it doesn't happen too often that we see him, we only hear him sometimes.

Beautiful bird.
I see they don't parasite others.
Very nice.

They are frequent visitors to our deck, here in Brisbane. They can be quite brave if cornered, but strangely clumsy when trying to make their way up trees.

Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo ~ Calyptorhynchus funereus
There were 8 of these in the Banksia outside our house today.
When they flew off one took a cone with it, just visible in far top left bird.
These have frequented our place recently and are such beautiful birds with their slow lazy flight and calling that wafts across the landscape

We have a second lot of juveniles of Tasmanian Native Hens
they are very flighty and rarely seen so this is through a double glazed window and cropped.
They are fluffy and cute but elusive, whilst their parents hang about these flee
