Thanks Charles. It's okay here and though many have said that and then suffered terribly, we're not in any fire path.
It's about 160 miles across Bass Straight (varies in width).
We have in past years had ash blown across.
It's also affected New Zealand as far as smoke and ash.

There are fires in Tasmania but nothing like NSW, Victoria and South Australia
It's horrendous in those parts of mainland Australia, devastating, frightening.
A team of fire-fighters from USA arrive today (I think) so a big thanks to them and USA for coming.

I am glad to hear you feel you are not in any trouble. That is very good news and I hope it continues to stay that way!

I am also happy to hear the USA is there to help, but not surprising either!

Attended one day of the Early Gas Engine & Tractor Assoc. annual show in Glendale, AZ Saturday and Sunday.. My buddy and I shot LOTS of tractors and engines; these are the most interesting for me.. The Ford looks much like my uncle's in the 1950s.. The bright-red FARMALL is remarkable for its engine, a 289 Ford--JUST what one wants for low-speed, high-torque applications, huh?!?!?! More pics coming.

Here's another pair of really interesting tractors, 'interesting' because I've never seen anything like it/them.. I saw no brandname; anyone know what they are, other than light-duty?

A couple more.

The John Deere has what are called 'cut wheels'.. They were originally all steel, but steel outer wheel was then cut off and a rim for a rubber tire welded on.

A stationery engine by Allan Oil Engines, Aberdeen, Scotland c. 1893.. This 19HP engine was used in British shipyards during 'The Great War', AKA World War I.. I wonder how many thousands of hours were required to restore it.. ?

This tractor is an Allis Chalmers G. Built as a row crop tractor. You can attach a cultivator to the front frame so you have a better view of what you're doing.

1. I thank all of you very much for your positive comments and Likes; because of those, I've developed and posted more, below.
2. I thank Vboer for your info on those 'interesting' orange-colored, rather-light-duty tractors.

One more..

EDIT: Notice the cone-shaped 'upside-down funnel' on the left; that's the engine-coolant system.. The hot water is pumped into the top and runs down the large area of the 'walls', thereby cooling the water.. There were several reverse-funnel systems in use that weekend.

Never tire of these.
They're so often colourful as well as fascinating construction.
Always amazes me how those crossed over belts came into being. Into someone's syche!
Such a simple approach to keeping it on the pulleys.

Keep them coming for sure. They're very good

Here's my last and my nomination for the strangest engine-cooling radiator.. In case it's not obvious, it's an old home-heating, cast-iron radiator. :-)
