I had looked at the names of the personnel that maintained this plane a couple of times and then it hit me: the colors represent the U.S. flag.

Thank you! I flew KC-135s out of Grissom in the '80s, and recognized the "Can Do" unit emblem. Grissom (then Bunker Hill AFB) was one of the places they were based, and they have one on display at the Grissom Air Park.

It's one of my favorite planes. There's something about the overall aesthetics of delta wings like the B-58, XB-70 and Vulcan bomber.

I plan on getting to the Castle Air Museum to see the Vulcan soon. I think it's the only one in the U.S.
