Interesting equipment! Were you on Holiday in Lead, South Dakota? My brother used to work for the Homestake Goldmine Co, which produced Black Hills Gold. I believe it's now closed.

Yes we did spent 3 weeks holiday based out of a friends house in Jackson Hole covering Wyoming, South Dakota and Montana

A rare object. This was the gear for the Meter Gauge Steam turn table in Secunderabad which was later removed.
