question...why the added blur in post...

and one more for the group...is this thread for pictures of heads or what most people consider to be a headshot, a setup, formal photograph of a person meant to be used in a professional environment...

Yeah, there is that too...but a "headshot " to me is more than a snapshot of someone's face...it is a genre of photography...not the same as a portrait or candid.

First one is excellent! not so sure about the brightness on the second, but both well shot...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
