Looks like bad seals to me, though I could certainly be wrong. My Minolta XG-1 does that, but not every frame.

Seals on the camera or in the developing tank or changing bag? Never thought about the camera, it is getting on in years.

I finally went ahead and purchased a Contax G1 with the 45mm f2. It should be here mid February. I'll probably order a 28mm f2.8 for it as well. I've wanted this camera for years, but never bought one because I didn't think I'd shoot much 35mm film at the time. Now with a baby on the way, I don't see myself breaking out my medium format cameras very often. Especially after using my Elan 7 this past month.

The seals on my Yashica are gone too, sometimes leading to light leaks ... what's odd is it will go a whole roll without leaks, and then I'll get a roll back where nearly every frame has some. This was one of its many faults that allowed me to convince myself to get the M4 ...

My scans came back from the lab today, and I'm really happy with how my first black and white rolls for about a decade came out. These are both Tri-X pushed to 1600, and I think both are 1/30 at f/2 ... the first is my girlfriend and her 92-year-old grandmother walking back home on Christmas evening. The second is my dad and a friend of his having a chuckle in a barn.

The G1 isn't too expensive. I got it for about the same price I was going to end up paying for the Canon 35mm f2 if I would have bought it new. I was trying to buy a used one, but the sellers would never respond. You can buy the G1 body for under $200. The G2 is a completely different story though.

I'm seeing them for $500-600 with a lens.

I went to the post office to send out 20 rolls....but I was too late! Gotta go in the morning I suppose. Taking the 50mm 1.2 (Minolta MD) lens was a mistake because you have to turn, and turn, and turn, and turn it to focus. LOL. The 50/2 is way, way faster to focus, as is the 35/1.8. Next time!
