For those of you that want water / fire resistant external storage, Costco has the ioSafe 4TB storage solution on sale for $80 off. Here is the link:

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I use two of these, attached to my desktop computer for daily backups of all of my photos. I use SyncToy (from Microsoft) in a batch file to back up the various directories that I have to my external drives. Based on a previous thread, I now periodically back that up to two 5TB 2.5" USB 3.0 drive (that I also purchased at Costco on sale) and I encrypted those. I keep one in our fire / water resistant safe at home and one is locked away in my office drawer at work. Once a month, I bring them home and update them.

But, the price on the ioSafe drive is pretty good and I have had mine for several years now, with no issues. Just thought I would let everyone know.

Have a Happy New Year!

Scott

Amazon has a 5tb Western Digital USB3 drive for about $110. It isn't waterproof or fireproof, but you can get three of them for the price of the IOSAFE in the original post. I have the 4tb older version which I use to carry around my videos. It has worked without problem for about two years.
