Long Exposure Lighthouse

A staple location to visit if you want to see the beautiful pacific ocean scenery or watch whales and dolphins swim pass... I highly recommend visiting Point Vicente Lighthouse in Palos Verdes, California if you're staying close by... The mountains in the background is actually Catalina Island... 1Dx + 35L + Lee 105mm CPL + Lee Big Stopper + Lee 0.9 ND Filters (all stacked for 14.5 stops of light)... ISO 100, f/13 @ 4 minute exposure (bulb mode)...

Great shot Butchie. Must have been a good day. I lived in So. California for 39 years and only saw Catalina from the mainland a handful of times.

From the Sea to the Sign and BEYOND!!!

So much to visually consume... From the Pacific Ocean (below) to the Hollywood Sign (top) and everything in-between... From the refineries to a plane landing at the Hawthorne Airport to the Verdugo Mountains above the landmark sign, it's really fascinating all that was captured in this photo... More than 30 miles worth of visual interpretation... Enjoy!!!
