How do you feel this camera performs with burst shots? I was sold on a 1DXmkII, but realize I might like the better resolution and more freedom to crop with the 5D4 instead. I shoot motorsports. Not professionally, so 14 fps is basically just a bunch of extra shots to sort thorough.

I've heard the 1dx2 can adjust focus and exposure between frames during full burst shooting. I don't know if the 5d4 does this as well? I know my 80D certainly does not! What kind of keeper rate do you usually get? I watched a video about the iTr in this body. Seems very useful!

I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.

I got 3 really nice runs during my lunch break that day and it was only my 3rd time trying to get surfer images, this is just one. Once I had the camera set up correctly (back button focus and AI Servo) it was just like catching birds in flight. Technique is the key. But I'm happy with the motion captures I am getting.

This image is from the same day

Personally, I do miss the higher FPS a bit (of my 7D2) and would love 14FPS for volleyball, motorsports and crazy dogs (sometimes). I do find if I'm not right on - I burst and can miss the ball entirely and have missed some great shots (amazing expression but no ball... But the focus speed and the ability to crop is amazing, the low light is great too. But this is compared to a 7D2. If price were no option, I would have gone for a 1DX2 (and now X3). But I'm not looking to trade anytime soon - love the camera and I;'ll just have to work on my timing a bit more!

I have a photographic memory, just wish I'd remember to take the lens cap off more often!

I was driving down the coast the other day and saw a bunch of kites out over the water. I had my camera with me......I got this idea..... :p

It was fun shooting these guys.
