This morning I've been doing some more dust removal (these are mostly for posting on social media so I'm just doing what's visible at 50% for the sake of my sanity) on some stuff from late last year.

These are from a roll of ColorPlus and a bike ride out to the South of Valencia to an area called the Albufera. I re-shot the first one on Portra with what I think was better light earlier this week, so we'll see how that comes out. The building is advertising Lettuce for sale.

The lab actually did a slightly quicker turn around than advertised so I got my scans today. The Lettuce frame looks nice, but similar enough in terms of colour that I won't post it here again just yet, I'd rather share a couple of others, although I must say that in general combination of lab scans (compared to the Epson) and Portra did really bring a smile to my face, I have to say. I've got some (gifted and always welcome) Gold in the camera right now so it will be interesting to see what the lab does with that as to how much was the magic of Portra but I worry that I'm going to have to start budgeting some extra in for that.

Same ride South, a couple of different spots. The second one is a beachfront restaurant along an area of coast that was recently battered by a storm. The cleanup crews had already been through and done a fairly decent job of repairing it by the time I was passing though.

Nice shots!
I am getting a bit antsy as my order arrived at the lab about 24 hours ago. 11 rolls of 35mm and 9 rolls of 120.
I have this bad habit of shooting a lot and just tossing the exposed rolls in a box... There's 27 more to go in one shoe box, and I think there's another box around here somewhere. Haha.

Allen, How are you digitizing your Kodachrome?

GA645i / Pro 400H.
Unfortunately I can't get any closer due to a fence.

A couple more from my bike ride with some Portra 400. These are straight from the lab scans.

My G1 arrived today! It is hands down the best feeling camera I've shot with. The dials are all in the right spot when I hold the camera. The small viewfinder window doesn't bother me at all. I shot a test roll so I'll soon find out if the auto focus is as bad as people say it is. I did notice times when I had to press the shutter button a few times to get the camera to focus where I wanted it to, but the focus is faster than I thought it would be.

Congrats on your nice little machine there :-).

I owned a G2 with three lenses and a flash for a while about 12 years ago and enjoyed it's small size and wonderful craftmanship. The Zeiss lenses were great. I wasn't using it though and it was just sitting around collecting dust so I traded it in for some digital gear.

Yeah, I can't get over the build quality. It's so little and solid. It kind of reminds me of a more well built version of my X100t. I only bought the 45mm, but I'll probably order the 28mm as well.

Thanks! I shot a roll and out of 25 exposures, only one was out of focus.
