Am I the only one not bothered by the battery size? I don't mind carrying a few and swapping and use the grip in times when I need a longer constant duration...

Yeah, I've never understood everyone's gripes about Fuji batteries either. I always tend to have an extra one either in the bag or in my pocket and I rarely use it outside of longer events (where I have several extras in the bag that don't get used).

I really don't get what I'm doing differently that my batteries seem to last so much longer. I turn the camera off anytime I bring it away from my eye to stop shooting, but I feel like most people do, so I don't know.

I think the battery complaints are probably from folks that try to shoot thousands of images at one session or, more likely, lots of video. Batteries are cheap and small and are compatible across all recent camera models. If you wear MC Hammer pants, you can carry enough batteries to shoot all week. Rock on.

Nice capture it's a stunning lens to use, it a good policy the lending of gear. Long may that continue...

I wouldn't say a lot bigger, not like the GFX battery.

I'm not bothered by the battery thing for photos, getting over 1000 images a battery at weddings ( four cameras over 14 hours shooting a 1/4 Tb of images and each camera had less than 1.5 battery used up). For video I use external battery power but longer is better I guess. I like that I can have a pile of batteries and they work in every Fuji camera I have (& the X100f/v too). Guess that's all change now  more spend.

One of the best lenses for the system, enjoy the closeness and w i d e n e s s, it's a great fun lens to get up close with although the 90/2 is more what I usually use for a more 'normal' angle but step back the 16 a little and is pure gold

It's certainly annoying having a small battery, just like having small SD cards, dual card slots, IBIS, or gyro stabilization. It's just one less thing to annoy you. I dont ever carry more than one battery because I dont have to, it's really that simple.

by the model name, I'm assuming it's near double the capacity and I find in practice, that gives you MORE than double the shooting time. I do shoot tons of video, and small batteries can run out mid session. Double the battery life for a cost of 10g, is totally worth it. It's not the end of the world having a small battery, I have a few cams that have small batteries, and they are mainly secondary setups.

it's not a dealbreaker, but it is annoying, 4K video zaps batteries dry pretty fast.

Another reason why I love my X-T3. I was able to discreetly capture this moment with the 35mm f/1.4. I never realized how beneficial having a great camera with such a small form factor was.

This is my grandmother playing a game with my granddaughter. (Her great-great granddaughter)

I can't decide if I like the B&W or the color version better.

for you.. it certainly is annoying .. for you..;-)a

the only time its annoying to me has been with video.. seems to me that amongst this group there only a very few using their Fuji's for much video though.

what's also really simple is putting a chiclet sized battery in you pocket :p

Yeah, its much more valuable to me being able to use the same battery between batteries... and not having to purchase a whole new set when you want to upgrade. I don't shoot events (still or video) so I can see where they would be helpful for that. I use the grip plugged into the wall when shooting alot of video. I also don't like the idea of having to increase the body size to accommodate it. As I eluded to earlier, I am not too excited about the XT4 and I hope the form factor we have now of the XT line, isn't the last...

Your English is spot on, my attempt at humour was perhaps less so.

That also depends on the reciever. Humour is said to one of the last things to master in any given language. In not quite there yet...............even in Danish :-)

Out walking the grounds of the big house this after and took the camera to see if anything was about. Was met by the heaviest rain/hail I’d seen in a long time. Totally soaked so had a long squelch home, camera was grand.
One shot before the soaking. JPEG OOC

My first digital camera was a Canon Digital Rebel. It taught me that I was a terrible photographer. I've been trying to wrestle with that ever since.

A relatively rare instance of a squeaky clean bike, captured with the X-Pro3, converted in Capture One.

My first digital camera was my Canon 20D, and I've actually only ever bought three, the other two being my 5DII and X-Pro1. I don't know when I'll buy another one but, I must say that Fuji's latest releases (X-Pro3 and X100V) are both interesting. Ultimately though, I still don't need a new digital camera for what I do, and right now I'm back to using film and really enjoying it.

Were I to start using digital again, my current cameras still make nice enough pictures for what I do so I probably wouldn't bother even then ... even though an upgrade to the X-Pro is always tempting - Fuji do make some lovely cameras. I wouldn't get another DSLR and don't see myself buying any more lenses for my Canon, it's just such a pudding by comparison and for what I do, there are smaller and lighter packages that make that extra bulk unnecessary, so why bother? Apart from the macho alpha thing of "look how much gear I can carry!" ... obvs. This is why I'm not a real man.

Before the 20D I also had my own ESO film camera, and before that I used our family digital compact which was a Samsung of some description. It had 2MP and about four seconds of shutter lag. I remember trying to photograph action with it and having the pre-visualise where the subject was going to be in about four seconds and then track it while holding the shutter down. This is what drove me to buy an SLR.
