This shot of the Rosette Nebula was taken over 3 nights. One filter was used each night. The data was captured using an ASI1600mm camera attached to a Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS II lens using an Astromechanics auto-focus adapter.
In total this is just under 12 hours exposure time. I was surprised how little noise reduction was needed in post. It’s taken me a little while to get an image I’m happy with, for some reason I’ve found the Rosette difficult to post process.
