Hi Mike...

Beautiful work. Such a peaceful scene, so well captured.

Tom

Thanks Tom! It was only 33 degrees!

That heron was missing a foot but was very healthy looking. There were a couple of bird watchers braving the cold and they told me that they've been seeing that heron in the same general area for at least 5 years.

Mike
Note: the EXIF info for my recent images shows "Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS". I'm actually shooting an FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS lens. The POTN gear database needs to be updated.

Thank you very much, Melissa! I keep it simple, use Wide mode (no tracking) for majority of my shots. It is the most effective mode when combined with a Dot Sight.

Thanks for your reply, Sha. I forgot about your Dot Sight. :-)

Raptor. I'm not good with raptors - does anyone have an ID? Seen at the Viera Wetlands in Florida last month.

Eastern Bluebird in the backyard. Don't get them at the house very often, happy I was waiting with camera in hand!

Have several Yellow Bellied Sapsuckers that frequent the backyard. Colors are stunning in person

Excellent, Mike! I don't have a good shot of this bird yet.

Very nice, Shalu. This bird is definitely on my list of species to capture.

Thank you very much, Mike! I got many better shots of this bird today.
