It's well done Chris
Interesting sky. Assume it's that backdrop.
Ours was very similar in colours.

Thanks Richard. Out of the 36 or so I took it is the only one I wanted to do any thing with. Our evening skies have been like that for some time, in this one the dark shapes in the back ground are the container cranes on the container wharf at Mechanics Bay. Interesting history for that place, it is where Air NZ started as TEAL (Tasman Empire Airways Ltd) in flying boats.

Chris I've got to confess
When I read your post, not being a coastal bloke I took it literally and went looking for the obvious.
Then The Obvious hit me and I was able to join in!
Yes well phrased indeed. :-)

Understandable, not many folk outside of birders would know there is a species of bird called a crane. It was rather subtle. ;)

After our first few days of sun this year, our first Daffodil has bloomed. Spring must be on the way!

Agree, beautifully photographed.
Beautiful bird.
Do those two practise social distances? I'd imagine the cat wouldn't know about such around the feathered members of the community :p
