How do you think that they should demonstrate AF? Certainly a real-world test would be ideal, but what they have seems to make sense overall, enough to see that it seems to fare better than the Tamron FE primes. The jury is still out (since the lens obviously isn't) but it would be somewhat tragic to find out that the third member of the trinity is dud (a bit like the SY50/1.4 compared to its wider and longer siblings); seems that things are chugging along well.
At least show me full res shots. Showing green dot and camera beeping doesn't tell you much. Been there done that. Like I said I can make my GFX do same even though its AF is much slower than any mirrorless. I personally take variety of shots, mostly moving subjects, even running at me. See how it behaves in Af-C with eye mode. I am pretty sure this lens would be good.
What I'd really like to see out of Tamron is an FE version of the EF35-150/2.8-4 which, on its own, would be a better/more versatile studio lens and, especially paired with the 17-28, a likewise more flexible travel lens without losing out too much on portrait capabilities.
Something like Fuji GF 45-100mm f4, I can see it being more useful for studio shooters. Personally I hope Fuji will put out faster GF primes.
