Now I'm jelous!

I class the Devon and Dove in the same class as the Dragon Rapide. A gentleman's carridge of the air!

If you know Kemble and XM496, the Bristol Britannia, there then I used to be a elekky on it at Lynehan in the early 60s and again as a volounteer for 4 years in the late 90s/early 'naughties'. It gave me access to the tower and that's where I got those photos of the first 747 that landed there for breakup.

I was also up in the tower the day some nutter decided to set a new world record by landing on a trailer being towed up the runway. I have some video of it somewhere? He eventually made it!

Testing my 90D for an air show later this month. Went to my local airport and took test photos, using my 300 f2.8 IS II + 1.4x III.
Shooting about 1/4 mile from the landing path.
I'm satisfied with the sharpness & detail with the jets. But less satisfied with the propeller planes. It's harder to get really sharp photos
shooting at low shutter speeds (compared to my other cameras). My guess is that a crop sensor with 32mp requires more careful panning.
Oh well, more practice.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.
