Understood this is the Motor"sports" forum BUT one cannot say some of these beautiful machines are not worth staring at and photographing while parked :lol:

They are - and what's pretty cool about Porsche as a marque is how you can really see the evolution of the design in this sequence, but also the strong similarities all the way through - and that's true of nearly all of the Porsche cars from start to finish. They've managed to carry through their design language for over 70 years - proving that the Germans are nothing if not stubborn :-)

Nice ! IIRC these cars ran in the U.S. in the IMSA GTP series, back in the late-80s (please correct me if I'm off). They also raced under FIA rules in Group C internationally, I believe. Some great-looking and performing endurance sports cars at that time.
