More info | Mar 13, 2020 19:08 | #8693 Hi guys, are there any options on replacing the mode dial, memory card door, and front dial on this body? The door is broken, and all the rubber is coming off the dials. I'm retiring my old girl before she fails and I want to refurb her cosmetically myself.

greenjeans Goldmember More info | I recently looked for the little rubber door that covers the remote shutter fitting. Found tons of stuff for the 6D, all on ebay, and all shipped from China. Did not see any from the states, but did not spend a lot of time looking. I just looked up "Canon 6D Parts". 6D, 6DII, 70D, 80D, R10, RP, Lumix DC-FZ80 and a bag full of lenses.

AnnieMacD Oops, me again More info | Mar 26, 2020 14:40 | #8697 I love mine - I've had it for years and it just keeps working. The battery usage is fantastic - esp in comparison with the 5D4 and I love the GPS on it. If you use center point AF and are happy with that, it's a great camera.

The RP is better in just about every way and probably isn't that much more expensive. I actually switched from Canon to Sony a couple years back, but now mostly shoot M4/3 (when I shoot at all), and have sold my Sony gear. However, I still have 3 favorite Canon mount lenses I used to shoot on the Sony (w/an adaptor) (Sig 35&85, and 70-200L). I actually have those up for sale, but my local shop has a Minty 6D for $500. It seems like a cheap way to keep a hand in full-frame... Call me Al Gear Flickr

It is a good camera, but you might struggle with the autofocus. I don't shoot moving subjects very often. It might be weird going back to that old system after a Sony A7R3, but I used Canon 5D 1-4, so imagine it will feel natural enough. I'm still a bit on the fence, though. I should just stick with M4/3, which is a nice system (I can carry a body and 5 lenses in a fanny pack!). But full frame bokeh is hard to let go Call me Al Gear Flickr
