A couple of shots of sunrise this morning. Just before the sun came up and just as it was peaking through the clouds.

It's hard to say David. Short term it looks like a support level around 25k in the dow has been established so you could trade the day to day volatility, but this coronavirus thing is really fluid and starting to escalate in the US so it will likely fall even more in the coming weeks if we don't get it under control

Long-term...it depends on whether or not you believe this will pull us into recession. If so, we likely haven't seen the big drop just yet and if you look at the last couple of recessions, it takes several years to recover from a technical recession in terms of stock prices. i.e. prior to the 2008 financial crisis the dow peaked at 17k in september 2007. It did not recover from that until 2013. Granted 2008 was a particularly bad recession and the banking system itself was fundamentally broken in ways that is not right now.

Inevitably we'll see the markets drop even further if this coronavirus stuff starts pushing up against companies reporting first quarter results after having their supply chains disrupted and sales impacted by the coronavirus.

6 weeks ago I went to the financial planner type guy at the hospital.
He said 'what are we doing today'.
I said 'this is what I want done if it can be'
Told him to lock everything down.
Recorded phone call/proof of identity and end of day all in a locked account immune to the vagaries of markets/stocks/bonds.
I thought it would stop growing...that's OK, enough there.
He said no, 2-3 percent a year :)

After the other one, was it 2008? I converted $70K to silver....still sitting on it...financial guy asked how would I ever get it back into the system.
I told him it was not for the system, but for a trade....your chicken, pig, allegiance.......

Improved ISO? Nope in my opinion.
Pixel density will be the same.

This is the one I was working on last night when the computer crapped out...4 memory hog programs running at once and a 3 image focus blend from the r2 was probably a bit more than it could handle! The best combination of color and clouds we had on the trip...

First day shooting with my new A7RIV, wow, what resolution! what cropability! And sharper than A9 too since it does not have AA filter.

Post some setting changes the Riv is a BIF machine now. On the trip I enjoyed 85-90% keeper rate with it.
It's not freaky good at AF/AF-C like the a9 but I would not hesitate to BIF with it......in excellent light. Pretty worthless
here at home for BIF but most cameras are.

Thank you very much, Robert! I really enjoy the extra details/cropability. I see myself using this camera more than A9 from now on. You have been doing great with this camera and the 200-600mm, when many people complain about AF issue about that particular combo!

Certainly stunning images.
The detail in that poor rat (?) is mind blowing.

Robert & Sha they really really are very nice.
I'll sit back and wait for more :-)
