"Seven Sisters Sunset" It looked like a super high chance of a great sunset tonight, so the opportunity had to be taken. I opted to try a location that i have never been to before which is located in Houghton Le Spring. Don't ask me why i have'nt been before as i simply can't answer that. ߘ (The Seven Sisters - Older than Stonehenge, the Seven Sisters Round Barrow, Copt Hill, Houghton-le-Spring is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. It was excavated by Canon William Greenwell and Mr Thomas William Usherwood Robinson, gentleman and local landowner, in September 1877. They found several cremated bodies, probably Neolithic, some pots and a small number of flints, possibly Bronze Age, and evidence that the barrow was used for further burials in the Bronze Age. An urn that they found is now in the British Museum). Upon arrival it was clear to see it was going to be a struggle with a large cloud at the bottom of the horizon, i got what shot i could early before it was too late and this is the image you see here. I will definately return in the near future to try again, but this turned out ok for what i had to play with. For me it adds to the interest of the photo. My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!
