BallenPhoto Cream of the Crop More info | Feb 26, 2020 21:08 | #3122 S.R.M. wrote in post #19016942 I've had a macro rail on order for the last two months, and I've been waiting for it to arrive so that I can do some proper testing of the Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5x ultra macro lens that I bought a few months ago. The rail finally arrived today, and so I had a very quick play with a match head as a subject. This is a focus stack of 8 images taken at 5x magnification and stacked using Zerene stacker. I think it's going to be a bit of fun as a studio macro lens! ![]() Dang, that's an amazing shot of a match! The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

I'm curious about why you used the 25mm. What would be the pros and cons of using such a wide angle macro? Thanks! Stephen ----- flickr
