I'm currently shopping for a Hi-Hat tripod. It's actually to be used as a table-top photography rather than for a low-angle video. I do have a couple of table-top tripods, but they're designed for a light gear. A Hi-Hat tripod is more suitable for a heavier gear, such as a DSLR with long lens attached to a Gimbal. I do have a very functional DIY version of this, but it's not suitable for traveling, which is what I'm looking for now.

The ones that I'm looking at right now are Benro 75mm ($204.95), Induro 75mm Baby Grand ($359.95) and Manfrotto ($228.38). There are others, such as RRS, but overpriced for my budget.

Anyone experienced using any of the above models? So far, I'm leaning towards Benro for the price, quality built and weight. Manfrotto looks good but it's more than twice the weight of the other two. Induro looks better than the other two but more expensive due to CF built.

If I am not mistaken, the "baby grande" by Induro also offers a "systematic" style top plate, making it more flexible for many uses, bowl adapter, leveling column, etc. Not sure if that's of interest.

Another CF option, I've not used a Leofoto myself yet, but I understand they are now the price/bang-for-your-buck leader in Chinese import CF these days;

This Manfrotto already comes with a leveling base,. is this the one you are looking at?

Which led me to this one which is a fascinating combo of oldy-timy design with modern features;

I plan on placing the RRS BH-55 and PMG Tomahawk Gimbal on whichever the Hi-Hat I end up getting, so I just need a short half ball adapter to go with it. Induro is very tempting, but for my use I'm not sure I want to pay extra $155 basically for the CF legs vs. the Benro's aluminum. For such short legs, I don't know why Induro felt it necessary to make the legs with CF when I don't see any advantages over the aluminum in terms of vibration dampening and weight.

I just noticed your edited post. The Leofoto looks really nice. In the process of looking for detailed info about this model, I went to B&H site where, instead of this model, they were selling its upgraded version at much higher price of $399 (LM-362C, as opposed to your linked LS-362C). What I wanted to find out -- unsuccessfully -- was whether the bowl adapter comes with the Leofoto's (both models) or it's a separate purchase like the others.

The Manfrotto that I was looking at is this one:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com …529B_529_Hi_Hat_with.html (external link)

It's a nice product but much heavier than all the others.

Since my response to your original reply, I ordered the Benro 75mm Hi-Hat along with a half bowl adapter for it, both for around $255. Although it's legs are not CF, its as light. I don't need to pay extra for CF legs for this kind of shorty short tabletop tripod. I like that Benro Hi-Hat includes two additional set of feet and a quality bag. I'll post some photos once I get it.

Now that I have purchased and had a chance to play with it, I posted a brief pictorial review of it here:
