I could have moved the strip box on the left behind the bottle a bit more so the reflection would be off the text. I probably would have done the same to the strip box on the right too in order to keep both light reflections balanced. I would want to keep a dark rim on both sides of the bottle to keep it separated from the white background.
I think it would be a good idea to theater when shooting portraits, still life, and products. You can immediately see if you are having lighting issues, and then as you mentioned adjust accordingly.
There's a member on FM, is the best I have seen with products, he's a master, works in and around Hollywood...
Looking with a critical eye that ad agencies do, they would see the very small/tiny spectacular highlights on one of the buns and cheese, and your lamp.
BTW those are a very easy fixes in PS
Only because we are discussing this topic, I began looking for issues with lighting. As the average person viewing I thought they were done quite well and really never noticed the small/tiny spectacular. highlights. I imagine the average customer would viewing them as I, but when dealing with ad agencies, they are the one's with a critical eye for there customers.
I imagine if you do a lot of product shooting as Amair does, he too has gained a keen eye. I always thought his work was quite good..
