I take a photo or more of Mt Roland from home just about every day.
I should time-lapse them and make a video.
Your idea for that spot would be fascinating

A little before..... but the colours are there. Taken from the Malahat Lookout on Vancouver Island, BC this morning. The large mountain in the distance really IS distant - its 130 km away - 11,000 foot Mt. Baker in Washington.
