Here are a couple from the Daytona 500 on Sunday before it was postponed to Monday due to rain. I was mainly focused on the cars and pit stuff but managed to capture Air Force One and and the F16 Thunderbirds as well.

Looks like a Blanik. I worked on a couple. Made a good fuselage out of two wrecked ones. Drilled out the rivets half way down the fuselage, stuck the good tail in place and all the rivet holes lined up great.
The guy running the glider rides towed with a Cessna 185 and when inspection time came around he asked to try to keep the costs down because he was on a shoe string budget. Later a tow line broke just after takeoff and the glider pilot had no choice but to try a turn back to the airport. She made the airport but tore up the glider on a mound of dirt left during a construction project. When I heard the news I suggested maybe they should tow with something other than a shoe string next time.

Ex R.A.F. Hunter called, if I remember correctly 'Indiscretion' and apparently a real cow to work on. If a panel was removed the cow was maiting up the colour for the screw heads! Owned by the now defunct Delta Jets on the ex MOD airfield Kemble. Contrary to beliefs it was never an R.A.F. station, no idea why?

Very eye catching never the less.:-P It was supposed to depict the dark of space at the blunt end going through the brightness of the sun at the sharper bit.

Great shots. Only one reheat working in the second ??

They fly around in pairs because one can read and the other one can write

It has always fascinated me in that in the early days the most difficulty part of supersonic jet aircraft wasn't the aerodynamics, but the engine air intakes and the air feed to the engines.

Yeah, I recall from a website I used to frequent a few years ago, that was all about the Concorde, that this was a tremendous engineering challenge. IIRC the air would stall at or within the intakes.

I'm mainly here for the snacks
