Alright, gurus, I have a question: as you all know I've bee video recording art classes for my students with that crazy rig I devised myself a while ago. And while the rig is fantastic, my camera is trapped on it and it's a pain to take it off for regular shooting. I would love to shoot a lot while being "imprisoned " right now but it's such a pain to take the camera on and off. So, i tried my phone and the video quality is really good enough for my YouTube channel. The only issue is that every time I have to stop the phone camera, I have to get up to reach the button, which is a pain. Is there a way of hooking my Surface Pro 7 to my phone and somehow control the phone camera from Surface that i would have sitting next to me. My phone is Google Pixel XL.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I use FilmicPro and their remote app on another device, in my case an iPhone and iPad. That way I have full control of the camera and the wonderful settings that FilmicPro offers and the iPad also acts as a monitor. Might be worth checking out if you use your phone to record video.

Activity is good, just need to lower the price a bit to get the buyers to jump. Sold my Leica M10 and a few lenses/items very quickly. I think now is the time to sell, it won't get easier in the foreseeable future.

If you think it was inappropriate, you could report it. Instead of making a comment as you did, telling me how to act.

When it comes to grammatical errors, take a look at all your dots. .... Sentences that don't start with a cap.
The point here is, there are many who make grammar errors daily on all threads in all forums.
Its petty and childish.

I think I'm king of grammatical errors.

Self-regulation should be hyphenated That being said, I certainly agree.

And, does anyone know/understand what it is that I should be researching myself? I frankly didn't get that from what was happening in that exchange.

I learned something new today. Thanks. Art Skool isn't the best for teaching grammar and spelling.

The last of my film images from DV, I think. I have one more that I think I like the digital version better. But anyway, until I can get out and shoot again, I am out of film for now.

Anyone else using the Grammarly plugin? I use the free version for both MS Office and Chrome browser. It not only checks for spelling errors but grammatical errors as well.

For my needs, I use the free version.

I finally got an email from "The Darkroom" yesterday afternoon. Not to inform me that my roll of film was done and I could see them in an online album but that after development, they discovered the negatives were panoramic and would require hand scanning. They needed an additional $10.88 to do that.

I paid the money but next time, if I don't develop my film at home, I will just send the film in for developing only. I just wanted to see that first roll quickly to ensure the shutter wasn't dragging, no light leaks, were the negatives overlapped, and so on.
