Did you see those sun images circulating showing what looked like a double round space station in front of the sun.

P.

Probably, but I look at the sun a lot.... if there was something in front of it legit, we would have relatively good evidence of it.

Very best,

Very best,

There has been all sorts of things shown near the sun, I remember that one image of something large and round on the left side of the sun with what looked like a cord attached to the sun.

P.

March 8th 2020

The cycle 25 active region is now designated, AR2758, and the sunspot has advanced, it's a solid class B sunspot at the moment, hopefully it will continue to grow. Captured in white light, Ha & CaK to show the differences in the structures.

March 11th 2020,

AR2758 has lost its sunspot, no more visible umbra, but the chromosphere in the region remains active and full of mottling and filaments.

March 18th 2020,

AR2758 has left our view, but a new AR, also cycle 25, has rotated into our view... maybe AR2759 if it progreses? It's lovely near a large prominence on the limb.

A new sunspot from cycle 25 is rounding the limb... at this very moment. I am working unfortunately. If it hangs around long enough, I'll get it at the end of the week. :)
