So I guess it's an end to going to the Market area: the situation apparently got so bad in the area that random border checks are being introduced... in between provinces. Basically, this means that I might have to explain myself if I want to cross the bridge that's just a couple blocks away from my apartment and, while I'm comfortable enough with my approach to be satisfied that it meets the threshold of what's being asked of me, I'm not sure that... whomever would be enforcing those checks would be.

In that sense, I have to be happy with the last photo of Ottawa that I'll taking in some time... not the perfect lighting, but they do say that you might prefer to take the photo in imperfect lighting than not get it at all. Who knew it would get to this?

Be very afraid, because that would mean that you'll be subjected to more photos of my cooking/food for the next little while...and this possibly as soon as this very evening ;)

You're being more productive with both food and photography than I am. Here's a beer I'm drinking at my "office"...which is the kitchen table I commandeered for work. Happy hour time!

in the same boat...and not gonna sweat it...I have pro beard trimmers if it gets to be too long...

having fun with the little house I made yesterday, we have been doing lots of Lego lately. Don't worry, not going to be posting these to Flickr...LOL. I am gonna have to start looking around the house more. But last night discovered that my primary HD is full...not sure how that happened, and my photo hard drives are full...yikes.

Lol we should do a shelter in place weekly photo contest. Photos of random crap in the house.

I've been getting stir crazy at home so I've been forcing myself to go on runs in the morning. It's nice to get out alone, get some exercise in and listen to some music. There are some pretty nice sights in my neighborhood in the morning. Maybe I'll bring a camera one day. Just a PITA to run with a camera.

We should do that...we are all about to be shut ins...I found out today that my one project in design and production just got canned...so I am essentially out of work...still employed but not much to do. My other project is under construction and is not a full time job.

My newest camera, the Kodak Monitor Six-16 with the 127mm f/4.5 Anastigmat Special lens.

Cosmetically, it's in beautiful shape but there are a couple of mechanical issues...that I know of at the moment. I got a great deal on the camera and it has a couple of features that I wanted. First, the lens is higher quality than my Brownie, which also shoots the same size negative, it can be focused, it has a shutter that goes up to 400/100ths of a second, and it has a mechanical timer. This camera has automatic film spacing, double exposure prevention, and top-plate-mounted accessory shoes and shutter releases. I don't believe the automatic film spacing will work using 120 film in this 616 film camera so I'll probably have to manually space my exposures like I have to with the Brownie. That's something I need to test.

As for the faults, the camera back is tight and difficult to open but I should be able to make that work smoothly. The other issue is the shutter release located on the top plate has a mechanical linkage to the shutter on the lens. The linkage needs to be tweaked a bit so that the shutter button will release the shutter as it should.

All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and hopefully, my frustration level will remain low.

Well it isn't a kit, just made from the stuff we have.

Tonight's foreshadowed "feast" with the aforementioned whisky.

Was previously shooting with more natural light, so struggled a bit more with that and composition this time around...certainly made a difference in the outcome. The pork chops were still delicious ;)

Should also be rather obvious where I bought the coaster.

Edit: And for the bonus round, I didn't even post the photo I had chosen. I'm really frazzled.
