Any thoughts on restricting even more internet trackers I have gone into the choices options to not allow trackers but a lot I can not get rid of.

Do you refer to Windows phoning home? Then OOShutUp is a good option to kill many of the OS based 'features': https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10 (external link)
For Firefox, there are some native options to use: https://restoreprivacy.com/firefox-privacy/ (external link) and some EFF recommended plug-ins: https://www.eff.org …sions-recommended-firefox (external link)

Edge is not active on my system and in addition I am using Palemoon - a firefox fork - focused on safety but not on features.

I never use Edge and use Chrome a lot, but am gradually using Firefox now because its performance has improved over the last couple of years and claims to offer more privacy. But possibly even better - Brave (external link).

Privacy issues are so complicated now, I admit I don't know exactly what is up, but I believe Firefox, and especially Brave, are improvements.

Brave is good. It also appears to make uBlock Origin unnecessary. I actually had some compatibility issues with Chromium Edge that I have not had with Brave. I also like that it supports all Chrome extensions right from the Chrome Web Store. It looks like developers need to add them to Microsoft's store separately for Edge.
