Thanks Dennis. Agree. It's fascinating the way the hairs grow on their heads. Particularly between the ears (at the back of their heads).
But then you don't get those beautiful eyes :-)

This was the first of four different successful attempts of birds in our yard. A cold front came through last night and “everything/everyone “ was hungry.
Never seen so much hawk activity in this area before.
