Last nights super moon. Just a quickie with my Olympus. I was trying out one of its features. Hint. This photo was taken facing north. :)
Soooo much easier than with film.

Two nights ago, 98% moon. I did not get a chance to shoot the full moon, but...

I caught a satellite in mine. Second pic is a blow up and screen shot of my cell phone screen. I did this to help a friend find location on the original shot.

Lens used is a Tamron 150-600 G2. I normally shoot at 500mm on my 7D MKii but decided to see how it looked at 600mm on my new EOS R.

While I lost reach, I gained megapixels.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like it would be framed roughly 15% smaller.

7d mkii @ 500mm vs EOSR @ 600mm

I think at 600mm it's quite good on the EOS R.

This was manual focused using the peak mode.

Shot this the other night, there's a spot that I though maybe got on my lens but when I zoomed in on light room it looks like it's casting a shadow on the surface of the moon. Had to play around in PS on the second image.

Is that a sleeping Hummingbird? Wow, never seen that before. Nice catch. :-)

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.
