This is my 1st attempt at Thor's Helmet. It's in a bad part of my sky for LP so I shot in Narrowband with the ASI1600MM. Images were taken over 2 nights. The Ha and OIII were used in Astronomy Tools in Photoshop to create a Synth Green Channel. Image has been cropped in some.

EQ6R-Pro
AT8IN 800mm F/4
ZWO ASI1600MM
ZWO Ha 70 x 120 sec
ZWO OIII 70 x 120 sec
10 Darks

Looks pretty good to me for the conditions you described. I wonder how it would have looked with your full RGBHa ?

Very nice, the detail, nebulosity and star profiles look very good.:-)

Cheers

Outstanding! How is that mount treating you? Are you moving it to dark sites or have you got it on a pier?

Celestron, I did shoot with LRGB filters on the 1st night. I could only shoot 15 second subs because of the LP. But here is the LRGB. Basically just the stars with some very slight nebulocity from Thor's Helmet. I have tried OSC camera in this part of the sky without good results. It's probably a class 7 Bortal sky here with very bad LP and heavy gradients. This is also uncropped. There is also surprisingly little Ha data in this target. OIII is where most of it is.

LRGB 15 x 15 sec

PAX, I'm loving the EQ6R-Pro. It is a heavy item to move around, but it runs smooth. I have also changed over to using EQMOD ASCOM for everything, and things like plate solving are the greatest thing since sliced bread. These are all just from my driveway, but I do go to a dark site when I am able. That's where I got my M42 from but I was using my AT65EDQ and the OSC ASI071MC. I have been getting very nice results with a Triad Tri-Band and the ASI071MC too.

NINA, EQMOD, and ASCOM have made things so much more enjoyable. I've been very basic for years with Canon DSLR's and and an intervelometer. Didn't know what I was missing. If I lived at my dark site I would have a pier and a NEXDOME at some point. It's not something I would even consider here at home. I did carry the whole rig in and out the other night, probably 110+ pounds with mount, scope camera and counter weights....I think they'll go in pieces from now on when the bigger scopes are on. :)
