I dusted off macro rail of my design Fast Stacker (external link), improved my setup a bit (3D-printed an adapter for my ring LED light Aputure Halo, so now it can be attached to the macro lens - Schneider Componon 28mm f4), and did this test shot - colorful ribbon cable (magnification 4:1). I used my own Macro Scripts (external link) for post-processing and stacking. The stack consists of 50 shots with 50 um step.

A water-droplet laden spiderweb on a foggy morning. A slight breeze made this harder than it should have been.

Very interesting. It must be a trick of the lighting that makes it look as though the water droplets are indented rather than protruding from the glass surface. Here's quasi-macro shot I took of a glass of beer awhile back where the droplets appear to protrude as I'm used to seeing them.

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.
