Today's sunset. The beaches are still closed in California, but a 600 mm eq. reach helps :-)

My wife spotted a wasps nest while we were visiting her aunt for Pentecost Sunday. It's about 15 feet high under the roof tiles.
Loving the 600mm reach.

Cuteness on the move...
These ducklings like eating yellow stuff, including my wedding band. No fear whatsoever.

backyard Safari. I'm slowly feeling I'm getting comfy with the camera
Eye focus actually worked.

Nice pics!

I did not know about the eye focus. Downloaded the firmware update and will give it a try.

Works okay with people, doesn't work often with animals. Due to the depth of field with the RX10iv I don't find the eye focus that necessary.

The bird was about 20ft away and the lizard about 6-10 ft.
In the lizard photo I see a depth of field of about 3" only (shot at f. 1/5.6)
The depth of field with the bird is a lot more but still less than a feet. (Keeping filters off is still more important than eye focus.)
