This might be an interesting estimation by the London School of Hygiene people (external link) for this thread: https://cmmid.github.io …global_cfr_estimates.html (external link). Table 2 shows that the USA probably detects about 12% (9.8% - 27% as a 95% confidence interval) of the real COVID-19 cases out there.

I am even more puzzled now...your system in Denmark sounds to be very similar the the US...some but not all cases even get Positive confirmation (all are not tested), and these cases would not go to a hospital.

If, hypothetically there were 100 cases of undetermined sickness, either...
  • in scenario A, 90 get tested and admitted to the hospital, and 10 are left to shelter in place untested and of them 5 (50%) die at home and 3 (3%) die in the hospital
  • in scenario B, 10 get tested and admitted to the hospital, and 90 are left to shelter in place untested and of them 45 (50%) die at home and 0 dies in the hospital

How is admitting 90 to the hospital better/worse than admitting 10 to the hospital, as your statement in post 1067 claims to be the case?

Out healthcare systems are different. We dont pay or have insurrance Companies pay to see a doctor or go to the hospital so people dont hesitate to make the call.
So here in DK people go to the hospital when there is a need.
Our weak point is the lack of tests, the goal was 10.000 a day but it aparantly is hard to reach. So people with no or light symptoms and is not tested as vigorously as e.g. the ones with severe symptoms, pregnants and healthcare personel.
As well as deaths is a sign of how hard the epidemic is tolling so is the number of hospitalized but Weeks earlier.
At the peak we were at 20% of max capacity in intensive care and ventilators so we have not been in a situation where people were left to die alone.

Bill gates says, we probably don't get back to the times off big games where a lot off people are, or we all have to be vaccinated, wtf?

Well I hope his vaccine works better than his software.

All of a sudden you stop working, they reboot you with a defibrillator and you go on with your business as if nothing happened. Maybe update your vaccine once in a while.

You forgot two things:

Offer to find a solution to your problem (solution never works)
Ask you if you would like to send a report about your problem.

And before you can get vaccinated you have to enter a 25 element alphanumeric code to make sure you didn't pirate a cheaper version.

Oh yes, they still do exist. They look a little fancier - but still frustrating. The last time I had them on a regular(!) basis was with the first generation Microsoft surface book. It took them about a year to fix this and then the battery ballooned.... Switched back to Lenovo.

Although the link lists the headline, AMASS truncates the visual appearance so we can't see what it is about.

Interpol: 121 arrests made over counterfeit COVID-19 supplies, medications
90 countries were involved.

Soeren,
My comment about similarities between Denmark and US were specifically in response to your statement,
"Yes we have people staying at home in bed with covid19 as well and Lots of people being positive without symptoms or getting tested." Particularly the blue text.

It has been reported here that there is very considerable COVID-19 testing in a number of European countries, although the amount of testing availability actually seems similar between Denmark and US...
NOT everyone gets tested, and there are lots of asymptomatic people walking about as a result of failing to identify carriers via testing. There are CLAIMS by the national leadership of plenty of testing capacity for anyone who wants it, yet the reality is that the testing is rationed and we have to make special testing facilities available only to first responders or healthcare workers or transit workers.
The reality in California is that as of Apr 12, fewer than 145000 tests had been done, in a state with 40 Million residents! That is near-zero certainty about who does and does not have an active infection.

Your post makes it clearer to me how your system works. It sounds more 'socialized', dare I say somewhat like Sweden?
