This gnarly old valley oak tree behind our house has had to fight for it's share of the sunlight.
As it grew it twisted and turned to find the sunlight, and in the process has become one of nature's abstract sculptures.

Hi Kevin. Thanks.
Yes, it's a book. I flipped pages, took shots whilst doing that and liked this one the best.

Two more abstracts. Not books. :-P

Love all the images. I'm not sure I have the mind's eye for creating an abstract. I did try smoke. I did try mirrors. And, of course, I did try smoke and mirrors. But nothing really came out the way I would have liked them to. Not sure if this qualifies as an abstract, but here goes.

I think it most definitely qualifies as an abstract, Rhody. And a good one too!

Thank you! Managed to find an ornamental platter AND managed to sneak it out of the showcase without my wife noticing me doing so. That in itself was a feat :-)

Wow, Sibil, an even 10,000 post with this photo share!
So congrats to all that participated. I thought I'd give abstract a try, found myself shooting in a heavy snow storm on Friday using some different settings and techniques, really no clue as to what I was doing. May have some interesting photos but they haven't made it from the camera to computer, hectic work load and schedule right now would be an under statement, so enjoy others sharing.
