Pointed my R strapped to a guided telescope again (this time with additional guiding) and took about an hours worth of one minute exposures. I may be asking a little bit too much from this set up. I used a short 600mm f/7.5 celestron refractor. Pretty heavy crop and not the best data or processing of said data. 
Edit: forgot to say what this was, grand design spiral galaxy, messier 51 aka the whirlpool
