Thank you, I like shallow DOF also but I'm always trying to get more in focus.
Yea, I didn't do much cleaning up in PS. That Rebel is 10 years old so I guess I should expect a little dust.

Here is the stack I like the best. It's 20 images. I tried A,B, & C versions in Helicon and I liked B the best. Again, not much pp in PS.

I am just shocked at the magnification I'm getting. Went in knowing it would be more than I'm used to with extension tubes but still shocked.

That looks good to. I do a lot of focus stacking also but always just let photoshop do it. Been thinking about trying Helicon focus especially since CaptureOne can access it as a plugin.

Thank you. I wasn't really happy with the results at first but went back for a second look & this one was not as bad as I thought. Another 10 shots or so might have made it a bit sharper, but I might be asking too much at this magnification. Never shot this close so not sure how the end result should be.

I originally bought the 1 years license but now wish I would have spent the extra $85 for the lifetime license. You should download the free 30 day trial. You get full resolution output images with no watermark. Low res w/ watermark after 30 days.

BTW: Not sure if you have LR but it will also allow Helicon as a plug in.

15 shots at f7.1, flower with white diffuser board behind it. 90D focus bracketing.

I just looked up the manual for the 90D, never heard of focus bracketing. Looks like this could be quite advantageous in some shooting situations.

It's very useful and replaces the need for a macro rail at least for larger subjects. It can struggle to find the nearest focus point sometimes so you may have to do a few manual shots at the start but not on a subject like this.
