What needs do you have with your current equipment?

If you have a 1DM4, then you probably have some lenses already...?

If the main concern is perspective control, then a common recommendation is the 17mm TS lens. But it's not cheap, and many people end up not liking the process of using a TS lens.

There is a quickly growing market for 360 images and video in real estate. If you are looking for high-resolution 360 images, then the 8-15 and time spent in post-processing would be a recommendation, but for stills only. But if you want fast or easy, then the 1D isn't the best or first choice; that would be a 360 camera.

Just really looking for something cheaper than a TS lens. Wanting to get my foot in the door first.

I will check out the 360 and video.

14mm Rokinon. But it seems important to upgrade to a T/S lens when you can.

Atrawick, take a look at this other post to get an idea of where real estate imagery is going (from my experience).

https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19047285

Personally, I've done 2 real estate gigs this year and they've gotten simpler, faster and lower fidelity than in years past. Now, I go in with an InstaX 360 camera on a pole and capture each room (from around the corner, with the app for remote triggering). In one case, that was it; I was done. In the other case, I used Photoshop's 3D Spherical Panorama features to label certain things and was done. If done at the right time of day, the dynamic range is controllable. (Otherwise, need to bracket for indoor/outdoor exposure.) A couple years back, I put an 8-15 fisheye on my 5D, multiple frames, HDR processing, stitching in PTGui Pro and a few hours later have an image where you could read the titles on the books on the shelf. Too much time for me, not enough interest by the customer for that...

Look at Zillow for examples.

Take any lens you have and stick a for sale sign on it, then you will have a real estate lens. ;-)a
