I have been using the Epson sure color P800 printer with no problems on my dell desktop with windows7 printing wireless. when I upgraded to a dell laptop with windows 10 (and McAfee) and am printing wireless the printing is taking anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour and half for an 8x10 print. It has probably been a month or so since I have printed.
I have checked and the firewall is set to allow printing. I have tried to uninstall the software using the uninstaller for the program and than reinstalling for a USB connection. It would not print with a USB cord and once removed printed wireless but still printing slow. I have printed a test page to check the printer heads no problems. I have tried to print using the desktop and it now prints slow and on both computers it my take one to three attempts to start printing. I thought it might be a setting on the laptop but with the desktop printing slow I don't think so. when printing it seams to print a few lines and than stops (no sound from the printer) and than restarts for few more lines. Maybe issues with the router? Any help would be appreciated.

Things you might try:

1. Get the latest printer driver from Epson website.

2. Make sure in printer properties that it's set to quick/low quality vs. slow/high quality.

3. The trouble-shooting guide at

There's a section called "Solving Problems".

If you suspect network congestion, open a command prompt & ping the printer address to get an idea of how stable it is

(sorry don't know your level of knowledge - hit start, then type in cmd into the searchbox until a black box appears, type in ping then the I/P address of the printer and a minus T (-t) to do continuously)

e.g.

THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.

generally, on a Wifi network you will drop the occasional packet, but more often than that would indicate congestion - if this is the case then you might consider a network cable between printer & desktop rather than Wifi.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

I assume your printer came with an install CD-ROM. If so see if there likely is a program called EPUSBUN.EXE on the CD Running that program will remove the printer portion of the driver and most importantly the printer related registry settings. Then go into Control Panel and remove any other software through your control panel add/remove programs.

With the printer off, reboot the computer leaving the printer switched off. Check your Device Manager for any errors (expand as needed looking for a yellow triangular “caution type icon). See if you can clear anything that indicates a problem. If you take any steps in this area then reboot again.

Reinstall driver from the CD-ROm that came with the printer following the steps presented in the install process. Retest as needed. If OK go to Epsom’s website and upgrade the driver and/or software using the site resources.

Thanks for the reply's,
I didn't know I had to have the printer off and reboot after uninstalling the driver. I have uninstalled the drivers and after rebooting reinstalled for a USB connection. have printed 2 prints with no problems. joseph I tried to find the IP address for the printer on windows 10 and it was listed as auto, but its not an issue printing with a USB instead of wireless.
Thanks greatly appreciated.

Rebooting is a good practice when uninstalling especially when you anticipate a reinstall in an effort to fix something; so do the uninstall, reboot, do the reinstall. Having the printer off, then turning it on, takes advantage of any Plug-n-Play capabilities when you turn it on. Not perfect, hence why it is sometimes called Plug-n-Pray.
