Salamat Pre. In the world of architecture and interior design 3D modeling/rendering, they call it walkthrough video and that's what I tried to do. I used to worked as a graphic designer for an advertising agency in Saudi Arabia which also have engineering, architecture and interior design.

You can see my photos here... i'm using strobe but i try hard to make them look natural.

Also with the RIV and Tammy 17-28

and here's all ambient manually blended in photoshop.

Not a bad showcase (the first link)... though it's kinda weird, is it normal that I kinda got a fisheye-type look in some of those photos?

House is way beyond my budget though :p

It can do but you have a tolerance that the motors can hold so if you are reasonably within that you can reframe quickly without re balancing. I have a quick release plate slide the camera back and forth easily to counter. You can mark off the ranges of your lens so it’s easy as you are only going to effect one balance. Are you thinking of zooming while filming?

Thanks for the info, I don’t know why it came into my head. More a curiosity than anything else

Anyone here own an Apple Watch?
For the last two years I’ve had the Fitbit Versa, which is nice, but it’s also annoying that there were is a bunch of data that is not visible on the watch (have to view the data externally on an app).

I’ve even mulled the idea of an Apple Watch as my main mobile phone. I rarely make calls, so it might suffice.

Main things I worry about with the Apple Watch is the heaviness of it (vs my Versa) and needing to charge it nightly. I wear my Fitbit bands out too fast already. Hopefully Apple has better built bands?

I have the watch, use to wear it a whole lot more, stopped wearing during the lockdown. I dont have the E-sim so it needs a phone nearby. Other than that, I like it, my wife doesnt care for it. Really useful if you have an active lifestyle, not pulling out the phone every time you get a notification is nice.

Thanks Charlie. Really appreciate your thoughts.

Going for walks outside not allowed in the CA lockdown? Fortunately in my small town we can walk all over and never get close to other humans.

And I just now recall my own game plan: wait until September to see what’s new with Apple Watch 6. I was starting to talk myself into ordering already. It would suck if I bought one now and just a few months later the new one had better battery life or glucose monitoring or something other must-have capability.

I bought a brand new Apple Watch(4) when the 5 came out. You need to pair it to a phone but you can always be a $200 refurbished iPhone. It's fun, it's cool it tracks **** but its a toy (hence the fun). I used it on a 4.5 hour hike with GPS on Sunday and when I was done it still had 58% of battery. It won't do that two years from now.

Phone calls on the watch work pretty good but I wouldn't want to d use it for too many calls.

I already own an iPhone and I don’t make many calls.

I don’t regard the tracking data of my Fitbit as a mere toy...that’s ridiculous to me. It really helps me know my progress and motivates me to achieve my daily goals. Also I don’t think having an ECG available at all times is a toy either. Man, I just don’t get that at all! ;) Glad you like yours nonetheless though. :)

Battery life really sucks...hopefully in two years you can send it in for a battery replacement like you can for the iPhone. I need to send my phone in - it goes from 100% to 0 in less than a day.

Thank you!

I have the Canon 200/2.8L and used it on A9/MC-11. AF ok for static object, not fast enough for BIF, too short for BIF anyway. Image looks like crap if I add a TC, maybe just my copy.

Sha thank you for chiming! Yes perched only. I just want super sharp, and lightweight.
Too bad on the TC. With the T4 (same pixel density as the Riv) I was hoping the TC would be good if not real good, then
I'd have an effective 420mm (if my multiplication tables are correct) in an incredibly small rig. So far any Canon glass I throw
on via the Fringer has been tops....except the DOii, it's not even on Fringer's list.

well, I use to be a lot more active, walking my kids to schools (grade and highschool), and then running at night, but since the lockdown, that's all stopped. I do take my kids walking with me on a daily basis, but that's really low activity as the young ones cant walk for too long. for the watch to function as a phone, it would need to be able to pair BT devices so I could use my earphones to take a call, cant have speakerphone on all the time. For texting, it's especially weak as well. I do like the device, it's very useful for me, especially the exercise aspect, but dont think I would upgrade beyond that. I believe I'm on version 3? never had the desire to upgrade, it just works. As for the perks of newer models, I dont know how much practical use there is.

Speaking of Canon lenses. I just ordered a 200/2.8 for the Fuji system via the Fringer II but forgot it
might work on Sony via the MC-11. Anyone have any experience with that combo? I love using the Nikkor 300PF
on the Riv and bought the Canon 200/2.8 for the X-T4 but double duty is always good eh :)

Atrocious! I have 200 2.8 L. Original version which I believe only differs from the II in that it has a built in hood.
Unlike Shalu, mine is not even OK for static subjects (using MC-11 and A9).
First attempt to AF on subjects were inside and very bad, so I walked outside and tried various subjects, various distances, no improvement.
Even using MF to focus roughly then trying to complete focus using AF was no help.

Dave thanks for the input.
Doesn't sound good.
But purchased via B/H so I'll give it a session and if it doesn't satisfy back it goes.
I'm still hoping though :) I'll know Tuesday May 5 one way or the other but luckily it doesn't need to work on Sony, purchased
for the Fuji. will be interesting if it does work well via the Fringer.

Since it’s not my shot I won’t post the image here, but I absolutely love this wonderful environmental portrait with the 85GM by the excellent Iwona Podlasinska. It may well be a touch contrived and over-the-top, but it’s a lovely charming work of art imo. Link: https://flic.kr/p/2iVFzD3 (external link)

For anyone with a hard case (Pelican, Nanuk, etc), do you prefer the foam you can shape yourself or padded dividers? Thinking about picking one up for the cross country drives I keep finding myself in.
