I must have a thing for knees! Foggy day on Big Cypress Bayou after the flood waters receded.

Shot with the RF 24-240.

Wondered how the R + sigma 150-600 + 2x extender worked. Not too shabby at all :-) was it the Canon extender?

Not sure I'd drop 500 bones for it but it's sure a bit easier than lugging out about 80+ pounds worth of gear to get a moon shot with a telescope... Especially since clear skies have been hard to come by

Taking pictures of your breakfast prep may mean you’re ready to get out of the house...

Bacon, sausage, sweet peppers, onion, and cheese omelet topped with cheese, guacamole, and fresh tomato.

(Actually shot RF 15-35MM F/2.8L - not in list yet)

I just realized when I read your comment that this pic was also with the 1.6 crop factor. I only cropped just slightly in post. It didn't turn out too bad for no tripod just leaning against a post and IS shutoff. I find using the silent shutter helps with the moon shots.

For comparison. No extender, no in camera 1.6 crop, cropped in post.

Here's a couple of Milky Way shots from this morning. Very clear skies (but alas, the always present cultural contaminaton). Last night there were meteor showers from fragments of Haley's Comet's las pass. I saw a bunch of them, but only captured one on an exposure. Both taken with Canon EF 16-35II lens at 16mm, f3.2, 11 exposures of 15 seconds, ISO 4000. Tweaked in LR, merged in Sequator, foreground belended with PS.

Thank you, David! I really struggled processing this one so it was put on the back burner. At the time I was thinking black and white but it just wasn't working. When I revisited it I reverted to color and changed white balance and now I'm happy with it. Fresh eyes make a difference.

Milky way shoot last night went sideways when the clouds rolled in but with the moon still up behind the clouds and the long exposure made for a neat effect.
