(2 edits in all) | May 03, 2020 23:56 | #3367 Stuck inside under lockdown and on a rainy day, I decided to see how my 2006 vintage lens would work with the formidable EOS 5DsR. I had bought my other half some flowers to cheer her up, so it was only natural to take them back and use them as a macro subject... Right??? No flowers were harmed in taking this image and they are now back in the possession of their intended. ![]() "All the beauty of life is made up of light and shadow", Leo Tolstoy;

May 04, 2020 16:11 | #3369 Not sure which one of these I like best. I like them all for different reasons but just no favorite. ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://photos.smugmug.com …i-5Mgdrzf-X2.jpg&lb=1&s=A ![]() This one was the most difficult. 29 images focus stacked which took my old mid 2012 MacBook quite a lot of chugging to get the job done. This last one looks to me like a guy got all dressed up for a night on the town and things got a little crazy, got beat up, and staggered home. I bought extension tubes for my 85mm lens, but it just didn't do the trick. So I received a 50mm macro today from lensrentals.com. Happy Shooting - Jamey

I was out in the yard shooting birds and came in to try this. I forgot to turn my ISO down. Oh well, this is going to be fun trying to get the hang of this. So far so good! You got the hard part, getting the water drop to stay, down! Paul

Yes - that was actually infuriating. I ended up using Glycerin mixed with it. That helped a little. OldCrow wrote in post #19058037 ![]() Well done 308. Thank you. It was actually a blast. Have you tried placing the liquid in the subject with a syringe and needle? I got one and it made a world of difference. Paul
