Wow Bill...you painted that, didn't you? ;-)a Simply gorgeous!

Very nice Bill, but what is this bird? It has the appearance of a shrike, but I've never seen a white one such as this.

Well, it is called a painted bunting.

It is a shrike with the sun coming through a tree so bright it gives a white appearance to part of it.

Thanks, Mike.

Wonderful, sharp close-up image, Richard!
I love this shot, Richard! The green background is so nice. He appears to be doing his high wire act.

Spendid shot, such detail as always but something about this one. It has a 3D look. Well done, Richard.

Thanks Mike and Bill for your generous and kind comments.

No RD, I do not. I'm surprised at what a nice job of sharpening the DeNoise AI does.

Thanks Mike, I will just buy the DeNoise AI then.

Starling, taken with the 90D and a big crop.

Nice one, Archibald! Despite being common, Starlings are super tough to get close to! Despite the big crop, your shot turned out great. The Starling's prismatic coloring contrasts well against the fence and background!

Grosbeaks finally started to cooperate today, not having to do heavy crops on the shots

I saw a pair of these Grosbeaks for the first time ever this past weekend! Wasn't able to get too close due to the terrain though; in your experience, are they usually skittish and tough to photograph, or are they a chill species?

Nice to see your Antarctic shots, Dave, in your usual awesome style :) On your trip, were you shooting mostly from zodiac/boat, or were you able to venture onto land?
