If you are in the market for a 135 and the price isn't the primary factor then there is nothing out there better than the GM. I've owned Sigma 135, the Zeiss APO Sonnar 135 and the Canon 135L, they all have their strengths and weaknesses but at the end of the day if I had to choose just one it would be the GM, blazing fast AF with outstanding sharpness wide open. From an IQ perspective the Sigma and Sony are close, the Sony is a bit sharper wide open and has a bit more contrast than the sigma, the Sigma might have a slight edge in bokeh though. The Zeiss APO is very similar to the Sony in terms of sharpness and bokeh but obviously not AF. I used the 135L back in my Canon days and at the time it was fantastic for it's era, it's still a great optic but it's not nearly as good as the new modern 135s.







Recently I've been looking at something in the 50mm range like the Lensbaby Velvet 56mm.
