That was a stack using the Helicon FB Tube (external link) which allows in-the-field Focus Bracketing if the insect remains reasonably still and the breezes do not disturb the foliage too much.:-)

I used Helicon Focus (external link) to Stack the frames.

Cheers

When I was looking at Helicon remote wasn't available for the R and Helicon Focus didn't support CR3 files even after following the instructions to install the stand-alone RAW converter. Looking at your great stacked images it appears they've sorted it out. Did you have to do any work-a-rounds?

I use the "Canon EF-EOS R Mount Adaptor", then the "Helicon FB Tube" and that combo works well with the EOS R and my 100mm and 180mm Macro lenses. I have also inserted a Canon 25mm Ext Tube and Canon EF x1.4 Extender Mk III in the optical train with the 180mm lens and it all integrated okay and worked well.

Helicon Soft does not appear to support CR3 Files yet, so I upload my CR3 Files in LR CC and Export them as TIFs which Helicon Soft can open. Its an extra step but as I always upload my files to LR CC, it is not really a too onerous extra task. :-)

Cheers

Thanks for the info. I haven't done macro so FB Tube is probably not a good fit for me but Remote might be nice for landscapes.
